Shawnee Community College aims to create a safe and secure environment where students, staff, and faculty can thrive and pursue their personal goals. The purpose of the anonymous button is to allow students, staff, faculty, family, or friends to share their concerns with trained staff members who can respond to their needs.
Topics can include food insecurity, housing issues, the death of a family member, financial concerns, and more. When you click on the button, it will take you to a form with a series of questions to help staff check on the individual. If needed, the CARE TEAM (Concern, Assess, Refer, and Educate for Success) will meet to ensure a timely and coordinated response to those whose behavior is disruptive to others or may potentially harm themselves or others.
This form can be used by anyone concerned about an individual who may be struggling. The CARE Team reviews the information you provide, takes the most appropriate action, and makes the necessary referrals and support. Please provide as much information as you can. If there is any information you cannot answer or do not feel comfortable sharing, you may skip those entries.
If this is an emergency involving imminent risk of harm to self or others, please contact 911 before filling out the form.
