ULLIN, IL (April 19, 2024) – The Board of Trustees of Shawnee Community College held its monthly meeting on April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. on the main campus via teleconference. New Student Trustee Michael Deno took the oath of office and was seated.
The Board Chairperson Steve Heisner appointed Vice Chairperson Andrea Witthoft as the liaison to professional associations, which includes ACCT and ICCTA.
The Board approved the agenda and consent agenda, which included approval of regular board minutes from March 21, 2024, and the special board finance committee minutes of April 3, 2024; an interfund transfer and acceptance of the treasurer’s report and personnel report, and considered the amended policies that were presented.
The Board approved the task order to complete a real estate analysis of the Union County Extension Center in Anna, Illinois, and the boiler construction contract at the Massac County Extension Center in Metropolis, Illinois.
The Board approved the payment to SICCM for FY24 program operations.
Dual Credit Tuition & Fees and the FY25 dual credit tuition waivers.
The Board also approved salary adjustments for FY25 for full-time and part-time administrative and support staff and all Vice Presidents’ contracts.
The Board also approved the closure of Shawnee Community College on eight Fridays during the Summer 2024 term, along with the hiring of Mandee Trowbridge as Financial Aid Operations Specialist effective April 1, 2024, and the hire of Melissa Luttenbacher, Director of Workforce Development, effective May 13, 2024. The Board approved the resignation of Stephanie Fisher, effective May 2, 2024.
