By (Ullin, IL) December 19, 2025. The Board of Trustees of Shawnee Community College held its regular monthly meeting on December 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM, on the main campus and via teleconference. Agenda and Consent Agenda
The Board approved the agenda and consent agenda which included approval of Regular Board meeting minutes from November 20, 2025 and Special Board meeting minutes of December 3, 2025 and December 8, 2025; the treasurer’s report; ratification of November bills; the personnel report which included the health insurance rates and ratification of the Fall 2025 fulltime faculty stipends; and approval to continue confidentiality of closed session minutes.
Fall 2025 Adjunct Faculty Pay
The Board ratified adjunct faculty pay for the Fall of 2025.
FY2025 Audit Results
The Board accepted the FY25 audit results as presented by MH CPA PLLC.
Truck Driver Trainer
The Board approved the addition of one full-time Truck Driver Trainer.
Strategic Plan Goals & Adoption
The Board adopted the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan Goals and Objectives.
CY25 Tax Levy
The Board approved the CY25 Tax Levy.
Resolution to Intervene
The Board adopted a resolution authorizing legal counsel to represent the College in the Grand
Tower Energy Tax Appeal.
Bid Approval(s)
The Board approved the lowest qualified bid for the Baseball Facility Upgrade. The Board also approved the lowest qualified bid for the purchase of a vehicle in support of the EMR/EMT Paramedic Program.
Administrative/Employee Related
The Board was introduced to Robert Hawkins, HVAC Instructor as well as Dr. Melanie Pecord, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs. The report noted the transfer of Christina Faulkner to the position of Librarian. The Board ratified the part-time hire of Madison Hammonds as Head Volleyball Coach. Previously approved full-time and part-time vacancies were also listed.
