SUMMARY

The Events Coordinator will support all event needs, provide customer service, and lead in maintaining all audio technology. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years of experience in Audio/Visual related fields.
  • Customer service experience.

Preferred:

  • AV Professional Certification(s)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Audio/Visual related field.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

LEADERSHIP

ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT

  1. Serve as the primary contact to schedule and organize internal and external events.
  2. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure event success.
  3. Coordinate with Public Information and Marketing, to ensure cohesive promotion.
  4. Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of all technology equipment.
  5. Assist with the teardown of furniture as needed.
  6. Distribute, install, set up, troubleshoot, and inventory audio/visual equipment.
  7. Lead with renovating, rewiring, and updating sound equipment.
  8. Assist with installation and maintenance of interactive video equipment for classroom support.
  9. Manage IT work order requests.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  2. Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users.
  3. Support and train end-users in audio technology, including developing training materials.
  4. Provide effective resolutions to user issues, maintaining communication and monitoring incidents through to resolution.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Perform other related duties which may be required by the Director of IT (i.e. duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are generally within the occupational series and responsibility level associated with the employee’s class of work).
  2. Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
  3. Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.  Lifting items to 50 pounds in weight. 

Sitting for prolonged periods.

Willingness and ability to safely use a ladder.

WORK ENVIRONMENT    

Work is primarily in an office/school environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate.

SALARY RANGE:  $40,000 – $42,000
