The appointed individual will serve until the next regularly scheduled consolidated election for governing board members, which will be held on April 6, 2027.

Klaus, 93, loving husband and father of three children, peacefully passed away at the home of his daughter, Marla Klaus Daniels, in Spring, Texas. Dr. Klaus was living at the time of his passing in The Woodlands, Texas, having recently moved with his wife, Norma, from Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Published October 22, 2021ULLIN, IL. – Shawnee Community College has announced its upcoming Haunted Trail event on Saturday, October 30th from 5:00 – 10:00 pm. The event will take place on SCC’s Main Campus in Ullin, IL. Activities will include games, Trunk-or-Treat beginning at 5:00 pm, and a hayride beginning at 5:00 pm. The cost to attend is $5.00 for kids ages 6 and over and $30.00 for groups of 6 or more. The trail includes an escorted walk throughout the wooded area on campus, where creepy, lingering creatures will be hiding in the darkness. The Haunted Trail will be dialed down for younger thrill-seekers as necessary. All proceeds for this event will help support the Shawnee College Phi Theta Kappa & SCC Music Club. Published September 24, 2021Ullin, IL. – The Shawnee Community College Criminal Justice Department speaker series continues with the upcoming speaker, Special Agent Eric Ruhe from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Marion field office. Agent Ruhe will be on campus in the Ed Center on Wednesday, October 13th, at 10:30 am. and will share information and stories about federal law enforcement with SCC Criminal Justice students and the general public in this informative session. SCC Criminal Justice Program Instructor Eric Howard said, “We are excited to welcome Agent Ruhe back to campus to speak with our students. The work he does as a Federal law enforcement officer offers a unique perspective for our students.
