By ULLIN, IL (September 24, 2026) – The Shawnee Community College Board of Trustees has begun selecting the College’s tenth president, engaging Pauly Group, Inc., a firm specializing in community college executive searches, to oversee the process.
As part of the process, Pauly Group President Angela Provart will conduct stakeholder listening sessions on October 14 and 15. The sessions will gather feedback about the qualities and characteristics stakeholders would like to see in Shawnee Community College’s next president. The feedback will help develop a position profile for recruiting candidates.
Following the listening sessions, the presidential search is expected to proceed according to the following tentative timeline:
- Early November: Position profile developed based on feedback from the listening sessions.
- Mid- to late November: Recruitment of applicants begins.
- Early February: Application deadline.
- Mid-February: Presidential Search Committee identifies semifinalists.
- Late February: Presidential Search Committee interviews semifinalists.
- Mid-March: Finalists meet with various College constituency groups. Dates will be announced once finalists are identified.
- July 2027: Selected candidate begins serving as president.
The Presidential Search Committee is co-chaired by SCC Board of Trustees Chair Steve Heisner and Trustee Nancy Holt.
