SUMMARY

Overall responsibilities include distributing, monitoring, and filing faculty and campus placement tests and contracted tests (ACT, SAT, Pearson VUE, ATI TEAS, etc.); entering student data into required databases; and communicating confidently yet courteously with students, advisors, and faculty.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified/or knowledge of computerized information systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated technology skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

LEADERSHIP

  1. Create and sustain a supportive College culture that engages employees, recognizes diversity, ensures equity, promotes inclusion, and creates a sense of belonging by fostering an environment of teamwork, accountability, communication and vision.
  2. Responsible for assisting with scheduling testing appointments for students.
  3. Administer computer-adaptive assessment tests to current students.
  4. Administer entrance assessments to incoming students (Accuplacer, ACT, SAT, TEAS etc.)
  5. Proctor Pearson Vue examinations, Certiport/Pan tests, distance learning tests for other institutions, Paraprofessional exams, ATI, TEAS, PSB, Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Examinations.
  6. Perform I-9 processing through PAN.
  7. Ensure the integrity of the Testing Center by maintaining confidentiality and security of all testing materials, test logs, personal information, etc.
  8. Maintain the integrity of the testing center by closely monitoring and walking around the room during testing.
  9. Prepare documentation and report cheating, examinee misconduct, and/or the integrity of an exam has been compromised.
  10. Administer Testing Center rules as well as individual exam rules.
  11. Maintain a quiet atmosphere.
  12. Work effectively with colleagues, students, and other agencies.
  13. Maintain proficiency as needed/approved by attending trainings, reading job-related materials, and meeting with others in area of responsibility.
  14. Meet all required standards of safety and maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT

  1. Maintain documentation of Center usage for reporting purposes.
  2. Post test data in the College’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
  3. Manage filing system for the Testing Center, both electronically as well as hard copy.
  4. Maintain inventory of all assessment tools
  5. Work to protect the confidentiality of student records in accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. Must keep up-to-date certifications and/or credentials for all proctored assessments administered in the Testing Center.

FISCAL

  1. Complete and submit requisitions for testing supplies as needed.

OTHER

  1. Perform other related duties which may be required by the Director of Student Success (i.e. duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are generally within the occupational series and responsibility level associated with the employee’s class of work).
  2. General work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Evening or weekend hours may be required to participate in other college activities outside of regular working hours.

COMPENSATION:  $18/hour
