Success in college is affordable at SCC with one of the lowest college tuitions in the state – a fraction of what you would pay at a university. Our classes easily transfer to most colleges and universities in Illinois, as well as Southeast Missouri State and Murray State. Beginning your first two years with us can cut the cost of typical college education almost in half.

**The Technology fee covers technology enhancements at Shawnee Community College. It is charged to all students who attend SCC. The funds generated from these fees are strictly dedicated to technology improvements which will enhance the learning experience of our students. Examples include PC and software upgrades in labs and classrooms, the addition of multimedia technology, and increased broadband.
Tuition Pay Options
- Secure financial aid, such as full scholarships, grant funding, or sponsorships.
- Pay in full at the Bursar’s Office via cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card.
- Self-pay through mySCC Self Service. This option electronically charges your credit/debit card or bank account for tuition, fees and textbooks on a payment plan schedule. This option charges $2 to make a payment in full, or $25 to participate in a payment plan. To register, log in to mySCC and use the Set Up Payment Plan button. Tuition waivers equal to the in-district amount shall be given to persons 60 years of age and older. Full tuition waivers shall be given to disabled veterans.
Those individuals who are allowed tuition waivers shall be required to pay any appropriate fees. Tuition is defined as money which is collectecd for the general support of the college’s instructional operation; fees are defined as money which is collected by the College that is designated for specific professional services received.

The Net Price Calculator uses institutional data to provide estimated net price information to current and prospective students and their families based on a student’s individual circumstances.
Students must make financial arrangements to secure seats in classes.
All registration completed after January 28, 2021, for the spring semester must be paid at the time of enrollment, or a pay option must be secured within 24 hours, or the student will be withdrawn from classes.
Students who are withdrawn from classes may re-enroll for classes as seating allows, securing financial aid/payments within 24 hours.
