Committee Name: Employee Relations Team

Mission/Purpose: The Employee Relations Team (ERT) serves as a collaborative partner dedicated to shaping a positive and respectful workplace culture. Through thoughtful strategies, the ERT works to enhance employee satisfaction and promote
inclusion. By encouraging open communication, the ERT strives to ensure every employee feels valued, heard, and empowered to perform at their highest potential.
Scope of Responsibility: The ERT Council shall:
- Implement strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement, support a healthy and respectful work environment, and strengthen workforce retention.
- Promote open feedback channels to help identify opportunities for continuous organizational improvement.
- Offer valuable insights for updating operating standards to reflect evolving cultural and organizational needs.
Policy Responsibility: Provide input to the Human Resource Council (HRC) when needed.

Priorities for FY26: Create consistent employee recognition processes (3.5.D); and develop events that promote inclusive employee interaction (3.5.E)
Reporting: The Employee Relations Team reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources (EDHR), who carefully reviews all ERT recommendations. Recommendations that reflect best practices and comply with applicable laws will be forwarded to the HRC.

Meeting Dates: Third Tuesday of the month from 10:00a – 12:00p
